April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, started taking piano and guitar lessons from seven years old. She was interested in writing songs was ignited. At the age of 12 April composed her first single Different. When April was 14 years old, she spent the majority of her time making song concepts as well as perfecting the song. Soon after, April started to go on trips with her dad and write at home in NY and LA. April was also able to add other themes in the tune "Take My Hand" to help her friends who dealt with concerns like peer pressure disabilities, and even teenage suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle blogger and being a partner with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia, has built her own following. Lockhart was never born with a left hand, and that is what makes her who she is. However, that's not the whole story. So, Lockhart's Instagram account does not shy away from her disabilities, yet the focus isn't on it either. It's a message. It's this That we all carry many identities, we're way more diverse than we think we are. Lockhart speaks via video in Nashville. "I do not intend to let it define my personal life. I'm not looking to be only identified as a specialist in disability. This doesn't influence my day-to-day activities. I conduct doing my job as normal and have found different ways of adapting. It's also part of me so I think it's essential to discuss. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that can last a lifetime, but she is an inspiration for this purpose. She still admits having gone through a series of phases with her physique, feeling uncomfortable in certain situations wearing clothing that displayed the arms of her. She is able to wear anything she'd like, and happily shares pictures of her dressed in her favorite outfits. The key to self-love for her is that it's not a place to go. This is true for everyone, no matter what their levels of anxiety. I believe having friends around you who really know you and see your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you worrying about?
